Situated in a quiet residential neighbourhood a 5-minute walk from Hapjeong Subway Station (Line 2 and 6), Gateway Korea Guesthouse offers both private and dormitory-style rooms with free WiFi and complimentary continental breakfast.

The simple rooms have air-conditioning and heating systems. Bathrooms and toilets are shared while towels and toiletries are provided.

There are a shared kitchen and lounge areas at Gateway Korea Guesthouse. Luggage storage and ironing services can be requested.

The warmest of welcomes into Seoul

I loved everything! It truly felt like I was at home. Jonathan and Jesper are some of the kindest and most accommodating people I’ve ever met. They were beyond helpful with recommendations, went out to dinner with me, were lovely to chat with about anything at all, and they really went out of their way to make sure everyone was happy and had their needs met. I can tell they truly care about this place and their guests. I will genuinely miss the guesthouse and I hope to come back someday. Another plus: the free bread and tea :) also, love the location

There was nothing I disliked. It was perfect!

Unique !

We spent 4 days in the guesthouse which highly contributed to make our trip in seoul amazing. The owners are wonderful, friendly, full of good advice ! The guesthouse is quiet, and well situated. 5min walk from Hongdae, and from the metro !

Awesome place to stay in Seoul, Jasper is very friendly and was very helpful during my stay. The location is pretty good and not too hard to get to from the airport. If I'm ever in Seoul again I'll definitely stop by again.

As my first guesthouse I think this one has raised my expectations too high for the future hostels

Felt like home from the moment I went in, Jesper and Jonathan seemed more like friends you went to visit rather than your hosts, but they could still be professional when you needed them to be. You could tell all the other guests felt the same way, which made the visit really comfortable!

It's the best guesthouse

Everything was good! Jesper is a very nice host. Gateway is just like our home in Korea. We can share everything to others and have good memories together! Anyway, it's the best guesthouse I've stayed!

It was amazing, definitely worth your money.

The hosts were super nice and helpful. The maintenance and cleaning was great. The location was really good. I felt like I’m in a home with a group of friends.

The hosts are friendly, they even hang out with their guests. The guesthouse is small but cozy, looks like we're just at home. We are not disappointed that we chose to stay here!! All the best bits of a university exchange distilled into ten days.

The hosts Jonathan and Jesper are super friendly and their local knowledge helped to make the stay special. They were also hospitable and made sure everyone felt included in activities such as dinner and drinks. It was my first time travelling alone and I think I made such a great choice in selecting this Guesthouse!

Best Guesthouse in my experience

Best Guesthouse I have ever stayed at in Asia. The hosts Jesper and Jonathan gave the feeling of being like fellow travel buddies which is something I had never experienced in other places. Awesome persons. Will definetely stay again when I have the chance. Very good place for Solo travellers.

Highly recommended!

I like everything! The location is perfect. Even if it was my first time in Seoul, I survived without a wifi as getting lost was not a problem after all :) You can always find your way back to Gateway Korea Guesthouse. Traveling alone did not make me feel lonely with all the friendly travelers in the guest house. Just be friendly too, spend time with them and make yourself comfortable with the guesthouse homey atmosphere. Jesper, thank you so much for your sincere friendly vibe. You are indeed a wonderful host! And so are you Jonathan, thank you!! I regret staying for a very short time but I am even more excited to come back!! See you next time! :))
